Baby Cakes will be temporarily closed from now until mid July 2013. I will be unable to take on any new orders until then as I will be preparing for a wedding of my own. Very exciting! :) I look forward to fulfilling orders for my brides-to-be upon my return. Until then, au revoir!

I have recently decided to shut down Baby Cakes.  I unfortunately will not be taking on any new orders at this time. 

It's springtime...

 ... and wedding season is just around the corner!!  I'm very excited to begin creating custom treats for my brides-to-be! 

Cake pops are proving to be very popular again this year for weddings and bridal showers.  There are so many ways you can incorporate cake pops into your day:

•  they can be given to your guests as party favours
• add a tag with your guest's name & table number for a unique take on escort cards.  An escort card and favour all in one!
• display them on tiered cake stands to replace the traditional wedding cake
• having a candy or sweet table?  Add some cake pops to your sweet display

If cake pops aren't your thing, cupcakes are still a popular option as well.  Instead of a 3 tier cake, opt for a display of tiered cupcakes topped with a 6" round cake or maybe even a giant cupcake!  All my treats are custom made and can be created to coordinate with the colours or theme of your event.  Delivery and setup are also available.

Easter Bouquets

Here they are, my Easter cookie bouquets!

I will have 2 different assortments of Easter cookies available:

1) "Easter Goodies" - includes 3 Peeps, a chocolate rabbit, and 2 chocolate eggs (all cookies, of course).  $27
2) "Spring Bouquet" - includes a lamb, 2 eggs, a bunny, and 2 flowers.  $30

I have a limited supply of styles for the bouquet bases, so it will be a first-come-first-serve basis for selection.  I will be taking orders until Friday the 22nd.  Happy Easter!!

Updates Galore!

A lot has been updated today!  There have been many new photos posted including cookies, cake-pops, treat bouquets and.... giant cupcakes!  That's right, the giant cupcake has officially been added to the list!  Pricing for the giant cupcake has been added to the pricing page as well.

I know many of you are patiently waiting to see my Easter cookie bouquets, as I had hoped to have them posted already.  I am happy to say that they are drying this very minute and I will finally have them posted tomorrow morning!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Babies, Tots & You show and sale on Sunday!  It was a huge success!! 

The cupcakes and giant cupcake which were displayed at the show are all new products to Baby Cakes.  Photos and pricing for these items will be posted very shortly.

Also, I will soon be posting many new photos of cookies, cupcakes, giant cupcakes, and cake pops!  Stay turned for that.

And lastly.....  Easter cookie bouquets!  I hope to have photos posted of these by the end of the week.  I will be taking orders for the Easter bouquets until April 21st at the absolute latest.  For examples of past cookie bouquets, click here.

Babies, Tots & You

Don't forget... tomorrow is the Babies, Tots & You show and sale!  Sunday April 10th from 11am-4pm at the Lamplighter Inn (Best Western) on Wellington Road south.

Giant cupcakes!

These cupcakes measure approximately 6" high x 7" wide.  Serving size for the giant cupcake is about 10-12 servings.  The photo below has a quarter next to the cake to give you an idea of how large these cupcakes really are.  I will also be introducing standard sized cupcakes decorated for baby showers, birthdays, weddings, holidays, and more!  Stay tuned...

Babies, Tots & You

This spring, I will be one of the many vendors participating in the Babies, Tots & You fair!

Babies, Tots & You is a shopping and information fair, which is held twice a year here in London Ontario. The event is aimed at soon-to-be and new parents, and their children, newborn to age 4 years.  There will be many small, independent businesses, and some truly unique and innovative products and services for babies, toddlers, and their parents.

The first 150 visitors will receive a grab bag filled with information, coupons and freebies. Guests may also enter a draw to win one of several door prizes donated by the Babies, Tots & You participants.  And best of all.... admission is FREE!!


The event will take place on Sunday April 10th between 11am-4pm at the Lamplighter Inn (Best Western hotel @ 591 Wellington Road).  Baby Cakes will be there with a display of baby themed treats.  I hope to see you there!

That means wedding season is just around the corner, so I have made some party favour ideas for all the brides-to-be out there!

These wedding themed cookies would all be freshly baked and hand decorated one-by-one to order.  They can be individually wrapped and tied with a ribbon colour of your choice.  Orders of 5 dozen or more receive a 15% discount off the regular price.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!

The last few weeks of December were pretty crazy for me with cookie making!  Thanks again to everyone who placed their orders for Christmas cookies and bouquets!  Over the next week I am hoping to post many new photos from some of these orders. 

For now, here is a photo of some of the cookies I made for New Years.  There are yellow & blue stars, champagne glasses, and clocks about to strike midnight :)

How fun are these?!

Peppermint patties with a fun festive twist... red, green, and white stripes inside every one!  These unique peppermint patties are all handmade with real peppermint oil.  They are each individually dipped in chocolate, with more chocolate drizzled over top for decoration.

Each box contains 12 striped peppermint patties and is finished off with a Christmas bow.  Email me to place your order in time for Christmas!

I have finally gotten around to posting my cookie and cake-pop bouquets!  They're a great option if you're looking for a last minute, unique Christmas gift.  Or if you are attending any holiday get togethers this season, bring one along to give as a gift for the hostess.  With bouquets starting at $12, I can arrange a bouquet of any size to meet your budget.  Both sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies are available for the season!  Make sure to check out my "Treat Bouquets" for more info.

If you have visited Baby Cakes before, you may notice that I have revamped some of the pages here.  The "cookies" and "cake-pop" pages have had a face-lift and I made the addition of the "pricing" page.

Christmas Bazaar This Saturday!

I will be a vendor at this years Christmas Bazaar & Fundraiser which will be held Saturday December 4th from 8am-11am at the South London Community Center (1119 Jalna Blvd.).  This event is to help raise money for the London Humane Society and the London Children's Hospital.  There will be many other vendors there as well as free refreshments, face painting and balloon twisting for the kids.  There will be vendor coupon books available at the door as well as many prizes to be raffled off.  Please come out and bring your friends and family to help raise money for 2 great causes!!

I will be very busy over the next few days baking cookies and cakepops for the bazaar. I will be offering many Christmas gift ideas such as cookie and cakepop bouquets, gift boxes filled with cookies/cakepops, cookie sets, homemade peppermint patties, and individual cookies/cakepops.  I will be posting photos of these items which will also be available to order here online.

Cupcakes!

The past week I've been busy putting more ideas together for my Christmas cookies, cakepops, and cookie bouquets.  Expect to see those posted very shortly! 

In the meantime, I've added more photos to my photo gallery!  The other week I was very busy making lots of custom cookies.  I had a unique request for dirtbike shaped cookies.  Those were a challenge!  Photos can be found on my Gallery page along with new photos of these custom cupcake cookies.  I made a LOT of cupcake cookies!  Five dozen to be exact!  When finished, I had arranged all 60 cookies on a 3 tier styrofoam "cake".  Lots of work but lots of fun!

Freedom Run For Diabetes

Tomorrow is the Freedom Run for diabetes research which is taking place here in north London Ontario.  There is still time to participate, donate, or volunteer.  Please visit www.thefreedomrun.ca for more information.

For the prize table, I have donated a cookie bouquet created for the event (that's their logo on the 1st cookie).  Good luck to all the runners!

Jack Skellington Cookie

Just before Halloween, I found the cutest idea for Jack Skellington cookies and I just had to try them!  They turned out very cute (in a ghoulish kind of way).  I made them for a Halloween party I was attending and every single one was gone by the end of the night.  These sugar cookies are very addictive!

I was also busy making jack-o-lantern cake pops made specially for a birthday boy...  Happy birthday Tommy!
